Rights
We are all made of stories.
House of Leorah is a storytelling, publishing, podcasting, and media company dedicated to preserving stories, amplifying voices, exploring imagination, and creating meaningful content across current and future formats. This page clarifies the rights contributors grant when submitting content and how House of Leorah may use that content across current and future media channels.
Contributors must be at least eighteen (18) years of age. See our Submission Policy and Podcast & Interview Release.
License grant
By submitting content, you grant House of Leorah a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable, non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, edit, adapt, distribute, display, publish, archive, promote, and create derivative works from the submitted content. This license applies to all current and future House of Leorah media channels.
Ownership clarification
Contributors retain ownership of their original submitted content. However, by submitting content, contributors grant House of Leorah the broad perpetual license described above. This license survives removal requests, account closure, termination of participation, and future changes to the platform.
Derivative works
By submitting content, users acknowledge and agree that House of Leorah may create derivative works based upon, inspired by, adapted from, or incorporating submitted content.
Derivative works may include:
- Edited versions
- Condensed versions
- Expanded versions
- Fictionalized versions
- Dramatized versions
- Anonymous retellings
- Audio adaptations
- Podcast episodes
- Narrated stories
- Video adaptations
- AI-assisted adaptations
- Visual artwork
- Anthologies
- Future creative formats
Such derivative works may be published, promoted, distributed, licensed, and monetized by House of Leorah without additional approval from the contributor.
Monetization of content
By submitting content to House of Leorah, users acknowledge and agree that House of Leorah may publish, distribute, promote, license, monetize, and otherwise commercially exploit submitted content and derivative works created from submitted content.
This may include, without limitation:
- Website publication
- Newsletters
- Podcasts
- Audio stories
- Video content
- Social media content
- Sponsorships
- Advertising-supported content
- Membership content
- Anthologies
- Books
- Digital products
- Future media channels and formats
Unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing, contributors are not entitled to compensation, royalties, revenue sharing, licensing fees, profit participation, attribution, or other financial consideration arising from the publication, distribution, promotion, adaptation, or monetization of submitted content.
No expectation of compensation
Submission of content to House of Leorah is voluntary.
Unless a separate written agreement exists, contributors acknowledge that:
- Submission does not create employment.
- Submission does not create partnership.
- Submission does not create joint ownership.
- Submission does not create royalty rights.
- Submission does not create profit-sharing rights.
Media company protection
House of Leorah operates as a storytelling, publishing, podcasting, and media company. Contributors expressly authorize House of Leorah to utilize submitted content across all current and future media channels and business activities related to the House of Leorah brand.
AI-assisted use
House of Leorah may use submitted content in AI-assisted editorial, audio, visual, and publishing workflows. See our AI Content Disclosure for further detail.
Changes to these terms
House of Leorah reserves the right to modify, update, or revise this page at any time. Updated versions become effective upon publication.
